Another local attraction that draws in a large number of visitors into the region is the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk. The San Antonio Riverwalk is a series of walkways and bridges that line the banks along 2.5 miles of the San Antonio River. The Riverwalk is brimming with shopping, dining and unique entertainment opportunities. It displays the natural beauty and intoxicating culture of the region and contributes significantly to the overall economic health of the Alamo Region.

The region is home to many festivals the largest and most famous being Fiesta San Antonio. Fiesta San Antonio is an annual festival held each April that is full food, fun and frivolity. The festival spans 10 days and has over 100 events including the world-famous Battle of Flowers Parade and Night in Old San Antonio. The economic impact of Fiesta San Antonio as a whole is $284 million. Wurstfest is an annual festival held in New Braunfels that celebrates the rich German heritage of the settlers in that region. Wurstfest was voted the 2nd best Octoberfest on the nation by USA Today and draws over 100,000 patrons.
