Job Growth

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the AACOG 13-County area has shown significant increases in the number of jobs in the period between 2005 – 2015. Frio at 74.40% and McMullen at 186.20% had the highest number of jobs increase change in comparison; however, both Frio and McMullen Counties are showing a slight decrease in jobs from 2014 – 2015. Within the 10-year period 2005 – 2015, the largest concentration of jobs increase occurred in Bexar at 145,232, Comal at 15,533 Guadalupe at 7,647 and Kendall at 4,693 more jobs.
